Prime Ministerial Advisor on Apprenticeships
The National Apprenticeship Service and the CBI has teamed up to host a special event on apprenticeships for the food and drink manufacturing sector. The event is aimed at food industry businesses who wish to hear more about creating highly skilled apprenticeship opportunities for the workforce.
The morning will include expert inputs from the best employers involved with apprenticeships. The day will provide an opportunity to hear more aboutovercoming existing barriers, such as access to funding for adult apprentices and understanding more about advanced and higher apprenticeships.
With the sector pledging to grow the number of higher apprenticeships by 20% by 2017, the event will equip businesses with the right knowledge to help shape the future skills of the workforce.
The event will be facilitated by David Bell from JCB and Chair of CBI East Midlands and Jenny Conlon from KMF. Richard Harrington MP,Prime Ministerial Advisor will be discussing the government challenge of growing the number of apprenticeships to 3 million by 2020.
